Welcome back, my friends, to the "Battle" that never ends.
We're so glad you could attend. Come inside! Come inside!
.
This is 'BATTLE OF THE BANDS' ('BOTB') where you listen to different recordings and vote for the one you like best. A new Battle gets posted on the 1st of each month and on the 7th, I place my own vote, tally 'em all up and announce the winner.
.
Friend? Foe? Stranger? No matter, ALL are welcome. So pull up a chair, pour yourself 24 oz. of DOG BITE High Gravity Lager (or the poison of your choice) and turn it up to Eleven!
.
[NOTE: Links to the first year of 'BOTB' (#1 - #24) can be found at the very bottom of this page.]

Well, it's not cannibalism, ya know?

      Frostbalism maybe.

Thanks, Sherry. And a Merry Christmas to you, too.

  4. Poor Frosty - but I do like snow cones. They were part of my childhood in Georgia. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2015!

    1. D.G., thanks so much for the good wish pertaining to 2015. I am so desperate for a good year now that you wouldn't even believe it.

It's been three straight ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE years. Yeah, they could have been worse, I suppose, but I don't know how.

Sorry you didn't make it to my last BOTB because I used 'THE HURON CAROL' - a song much better known in Canada than in the U.S. and I figured you might be familiar with it.

Oh, well, maybe next time. I'm sure you were busy, it being December 'n' all.

And to you too I wish a wonderful 2015.
      Thanks for visiting here.

  5. So much for Frosty being a "jolly, happy soul!" May your sorrows melt away, as you welcome 2015! Wishing you a New Year filled with happiness, and good health, Stephen!

Ha! Yeah, unfortunately, Frosty's "jolly, happy soul" days are behind him.

But I hope yours and mine are straight ahead! Wishing you, too, a great and healthy 2015.

  6. I'll take one as long as it's not made of yellow snow.

I got your Christmas card yesterday, and just wanted to say thanks! And that I hope you had a pretty amazing Christmas. One that didn't involve eating a pair of snow balls.

You got the card on the 27th? WTH? I mailed it with plenty of time that it should have made Colorado from Airheadzona before Christmas Day.

      Your mailman stinks!

  7. Sorry to put this here, wanted to keep it private. Please don't post.

I want to respect that you're done with the topic, but...

I have accessed a few sites since we talked, and I can see the points for the unitarian view (even if it is only a cursory look through). I have likewise looked at the views for the trinitarian side.

And my opinion: We have a BIG God, one no one completely comprehends. And I see no reason, given that, that both sides cannot be valid.

Which is kind of why I didn't want it to turn into a debate, because- and I say this ESPECIALLY after looking into both sides- it's just not a salvational issue. If I had any discomfort in that before, I actually have less discomfort in saying that now.

I apologize for the stubborn comment. I didn't mean anything by that other than I was trying to avoid Armageddon 2.0 between us.

I think there are as many ways to conceive the concept of Father-Son-Spirit as there are levels that each person can grasp them. None (within reason) wrong, but just speaking to the person where they are.

Sorry if you thought I insulted, disparaged, or brushed you off the way I put things. Have a good New Year's celebration- and a much better 2015!

Oops. I did NOT post this here. About a week ago or so, I changed this one blog to "Automatic Comment Posting". I got to thinking that I'm not likely to ever post anything particularly controversial here, so it's not likely anyone would be submitting a comment calling me a dirty so-and-so and using a bunch of profanity.

Maybe I should re-think this comment posting mode.

It wasn't ever really going to be a "debate" between us anyway, because I "discuss" with friends, not "debate". (It's not a technically accurate definition but I tend to associate the word "debate" with a more rancorous exchange, since I've had many debates with liberals, and they rarely discuss anything political or spiritual without quickly turning on the flamethrowers.)

I totally agree that it's NOT a salvational issue. I view it more as a search for the bottom-line Truth, just for the sake of knowing Truth and perhaps having a more fully informed view of Who and What Jesus was. Like, the better we know a person, the deeper our relationship with him or her can be. But I agree that neither Trinitarians or anti-Trinitarians are any more or less likely to enter the Gates of Heaven.

Not to worry about the tone of your responses. While I still maintain that I am not stubborn in my views, you and I are both very passionate when it comes to our Spiritual walk and studies, and sometimes passion can make something seem hotter'n it ought. But it's all good, Brother.

And I wish a great and peaceful 2015 to you and yourn.

  8. Ha ha ha ha! I laughed out loud at this one - sorry I am just getting back home and I've been off the computer since Christmas, basically.

I'll never have a snowcone again without reflecting on the snowman's great sacrifice...hilarious.

Happy holidays, my friend! Thanks for the "present"....it WAS very Cherdo, indeed.

      Glad you liked it.

My Sister came over to the house on Christmas Eve, and by some strange coincidence, she showed me that cartoon on her phone, which some friend had sent her. I thought it was funny in a black comedy way.

Then later, when I saw your post to me, I remembered the cartoon my Sister had shown me only hours earlier, and it was so thematically on-spot that the race was on to find it somewhere on the Internet.

It's better to be lucky than good.
