This is 'BATTLE OF THE BANDS' ('BOTB') where you listen to different recordings and vote for the one you like best. A new Battle gets posted on the 1st of each month and on the 7th, I place my own vote, tally 'em all up and announce the winner.

Friend? Foe? Stranger? No matter, ALL are welcome. So pull up a chair, pour yourself 24 oz. of DOG BITE High Gravity Lager (or the poison of your choice) and turn it up to Eleven!

ATTENTION: BOTBers, MAY I HAVE YER ATTENTION?

.
McDoggs & McDoggettes ~

This is a public service announcement.

Please be aware that when you post a 'BATTLE OF THE BANDS' blog bit, if you're going to include a photo of the "official" BOTB logo, it should look like THIS...
.
.
It should NOT look like this...
.
.
As much as I would like to steal the 'BATTLE OF THE BANDS' Blogfest and claim ownership of it by skirting the Fifth Amendment and corrupting the protection against "eminent domain" abuse à la DONALD TRUMP

the truth of the matter is, I do NOT own BOTB. I like to think I do it pretty well, but I don't "OWN IT". (And unless it somehow starts generating money, I'm not going to try stealing ownership of it.)

So, please remember that BOTB belongs to ALL of us. Feel free to link your pages to my pages and my BOTB Participant List, but there's no reason to attach my name to the logo, y'all. "STMcC Presents BATTLE OF THE BANDS" just happens to be the name of this blog. That's all. I guess that's been a bit confusing. Sorry 'bout that.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming...

  3. I'm not very savvy when it comes to politics, but even I'm confused at why people seem to be so emotionally ecstatic over Trump. Don't they understand that when things are this bad emotion is the last thing you should base a decision on. It's not as if Trumps means of doing business or his ethos are some kind of secret. And he's a reality tv show guy. Which puts him on par with one of those Kardashian creatures. Maybe he'll have the one with the really big arse run as his VP.

Then there could be a new reality show set in the White House. They can have a bulldog named Butch who gets a sex change. Butch will be renamed Becky and will compete in The Westminster Kennel Club competition and win Best of Show and be given the Congressional Medal of Honour for his/her/its bravery.

I don't know what's going to happen, but I do know it's going to get weirder than an roller skating orangutan having a bad acid trip :0)

You are 100 times sharper than the average U.S.A.-born voter!

I can tell you the truth right NOW, without a shred of researching... [I'm a total expert on American politics, and God help the hapless "Liberal/Democrat" or "Conservative/Republican" fool who attempts to debate me about politics in public - God help 'em!!!]...

Fuck what ANYONE "SAYS" during a presidential election period (except for Ron Paul, whose voting record proved his public statements to be accurate). The whole thing is a fucking "show" meant to Divide and Conquer.

The average American voter has the Political I.Q. of a dead dog lying in the middle of Sunset Boulevard.

Donald Trump IS and always HAS BEEN a political "INSIDER". He's just the new ROSS PEROT (look that scumbag up!) They run the same political scams over and over again, decade after decade, but Americans are too damned dumb to ever pick up on the PATTERN!

Trust me (you can do it, because I'm NOT a politician, a lawyer, a doctor, or a policeman), NO PERSON WHO MIGHT MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN THE U.S.A. WILL EVER - EVER! - BE ALLOWED TO BE ELECTED AS PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.A.

It's as fucking simple as THAT!!! (You are now officially "politically smarter" than 98% of the voters in America - BOTH the illegal AND legal voters.)

    2. You're right, there's no way they'll allow anyone honest in that office. It doesn't seem to me that party affiliation makes a whit of difference. They all seem to be serving the same master and that master doesn't have the American peoples best interests in mind.

It's gotten that way everywhere and I think much of it can be traced to the multinational companies and the people who run them. It's their interests that are being served and the rest of us are just cannon fodder.

I have dual citizenship and am allowed to vote, but I don't know if I have the stomach for it. If I just stay out of it, when things go tits up I can honestly say "I didn't vote for that arsemonkey"

    3. Well, color me better informed after reading this, lol. Now I'm slightly better than the "dead dog" IQ :)

Seriously, I appreciated reading the discourse. I agree with both of you, though I come to that decision just by watching Trump on CNN a couple times. We need a politician who isn't running a popularity contest, or isn't buying votes.

Uck; now I can't get the image of a White House reality freak show out of my mind. Need lots more wine to wash away the possibility.

Sorry I'm so late with my reply. Busy day... for a Sunday.

      >>... "You're right, there's no way they'll allow anyone honest in that office. It doesn't seem to me that party affiliation makes a whit of difference.

Not AT ALL! The only difference between the Democrat and Republican parties is the speed in which Socialism is instituted in the U.S.A.

Traditionally, it could be forced upon us quicker when the Democrats were in power. But now, it doesn't even matter which party supposedly "rules", because Americans are so stupid that they can't even recognize Socialism. So now the Republicans can push it as hard as the Democrats do (e.g., George W. Bush).

The Republicans cheer, no matter what happens, if it's a Republican president who does it. That's why Bush was able to install a police state after the bogus 9/11 ("Inside Job") was pulled off.

      >>... "They all seem to be serving the same master

Correct! And that master is private international bankers, who totally control this country (and most of the world). The Federal Reserve, which is the basis of our economic system, is NOT controlled by the Feds (national government), nor does it have any "reserves". It was a monstrous scam that "they" forced on us in 1913.

If you want to know the truth about that, read the book 'THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND' by G. Edward Griffin. (Many years ago, I wrote what is still one of the most popular reviews for that book at Amazon.com... or BigBitch.scum.)

Thanks for the insightful comments. Most American-born voters don't know near as much as you do about American politics.

Ha! You sneaked that comment in between Anne O' and me while I was in the process of replying to her!

When it comes to politics, you have two choices: Socialism or Socialism-Lite.

That used to mean: Dumb-o-crats or Repugnant-cans. Today, both parties are exactly, Exactly, EXACTLY the same. The only difference is in what they publicly "SAY". The Repugnantcans still say "conservative" things, but they betray their voters the very second they get into office - ANY office.

This comment will surprise many people (especially "conservative" "Republicans") but Rush Limbaugh is totally, Totally, TOTALLY a One-World-Government, Global Socialist. The difference between Obama and Limbaugh? Skin color. That's all.

Yeah, I know, if a person takes their public statements seriously, they seem to be worlds apart. But if you study them deeper, you find that they BOTH support the same anti-Christ One-World-Government that is quickly covering us in its net. (No surprise. It was all foretold in The Holy Bible thousands of years ago.)

There's no good reason for anyone to vote in national elections anymore. I'm done with that crap.

See ya on the 15th, Donna!

    6. I love this, especially your quote: The only difference between the Democrat and Republican parties is the speed in which Socialism is instituted in the U.S.A. which is absolutely the truth. Donald Trump tells as it as it is, because he's not a politician AND he doesn't care what everyone else thinks or says, he will never get the job. I don't agree with him on every thing, but I think if we want someone to whip the country's budget into shape and trim some of the fat then he might be the man for the job. I'm sure there are a few Republican candidates out there who are more conservative ~ socially and morally than Trump. The sad truth is I'm afraid our country is done with putting anyone in office at every level who can make a difference. Just as long as you have free health care, same-sex marriages, legalized drugs, illegal aliens, the list goes on and on, then nothing else matters to most Americans.

  5. ~ D-FensDogG,
Doing my best to post a battle for Sept. 1st. I have this crazy urge to jump on a motorcycle and go... that said, I found a song that just does things for me. YOU know 'stuffs,' while I know 'things.' I know I told you one time, about my being sensitive to electrical things. (I think I did.) My battle may just consist of music without much backdrop/ground. That's pretty much my norm anyway, right? Lately it's tough sitting in front of a laptop doing research. So now you know the rest of the story.

Also, thank you for the knee bends and prayers. Life is good. My favorite time of the year (Fall), is on the way. I welcome long walks in the park with leaves falling. Then I get downright poetic... just trying to be a small part of the picture. 'Nuff' said...moving on. dp

I'm so happy to hear from you. (Will Email soon'z I can.)

Yep, you did tell me about the electrical bit. (Last night, I had an unbelievable Spiritual experience in downtown Reno. Jesus Christ literally made me speak to some people in His name. That NEVER happened before, or even entered my mind.)

Yes, Fall is also MY favorite time of year. Cool, beautiful, and colorful. Being the very talented painter you are, it's easy to understand why you love Fall... or Autumn.

We've missed you so much in BOTB, and I'm yippee'd to learn you'll be back with us again on 9/1.

I sincerely prayed for ya, dp.
      See ya soon.

You don't have to email unless there's another issue besides my health that you'd like an answer to. I read about the chemtrail issue a week or so ago; brush fires - you guys are busy! I'm guessing you're back at work, and a new blog too. Are you trying to wear yourself out, hmm? Anyway, don't go to trouble writing. It's nothing but a can of corn.

By the way I enjoyed your "Soundtrack bit."

Yeah, I understand. God sends me places I'd never thought I'd go; say things I thought I'd never say; live free in His complete care. Makes me smile. Even being exhausted, for two months, had it's blessings. I'm grateful to be grateful. See ya later. Dp.

  7. Canadians are always interested about what goes on in American politics. We have to be! Shocking enough that Donald Trump has so much support, but then I read that Sarah Palin could be his running mate. Ai-ai-ai!
As for the BOTB logo, I use the correct one.

Sarah Palin... there's another phony "conservative".

I do think she's a social conservative though. Same with Ann Coulter. I believe that they really oppose some of the "social" lefty leanings. But politically, they're not really about restoring rights to the people and to the states.
